Divisions: Admin & Records | Operations | Jail | Community Corrections | Special Services

The Sheriff's Office consists of several different divisions with the duties and employees listed below:

1. Administrative and Records Division:

a. Under this division are all records, civil service, property accountability, evidence control and equipment maintenance activities.

b. There are six employees, with three technical deputies, two records deputies and one administrative assistant/civil deputy, which are supervised by the Undersheriff.

2. Operations Division:

a. Under this division are all patrol services, seasonal patrol services (Marine and Bureau of Reclamation), investigations, traffic enforcement, and courthouse security activities.

b. There are twelve full-time employees & seven seasonal or part-time deputies, with seven patrol, one criminal deputy, one narcotics deputy, two forest/atv patrol deputies, one court security deputy and seven seasonal employees, which are supervised by three patrol sergeants.

3. Jail Division:

a. Under this division all prisoners are managed, housed, fed, transported to rented jail space and to court appearances.

b. There are eight full-time and three part-time employees in this division, six corrections deputies, one corrections sergeant, one technical deputy (transports), which are supervised by the jail commander.

4. Community Corrections Division:

a. Under this division are parole and probation services, community services, work crew, and related transitional and treatment services.

b. There are four full-time employees, one director, two P&P deputies, one office/work crew coordinator, and one part-time work crew tech, which are supervised by the community corrections director.

5. Special Services Division:

a. Under this division are the Sheriff's Search and Rescue services and the County's Emergency Management program.

b. There are two full-time employees, one sergeant, one office/admin position, with 60 + volunteers supervised by one full-time coordinator.
