Divisions: Admin & Records | Operations | Jail | Community Corrections | Special Services

The Sheriff's Office consists of several different divisions with the duties and employees listed below:

1. Administrative and Records Division:

a. Under this division are all records, civil service, property accountability, evidence control and equipment maintenance activities.

b. There are five employees in this division, three records deputies, one civil deputy/administrative assistant to the sheriff, one technical deputy, which are supervised by the Undersheriff.

2. Operations Division:

a. Under this division are all patrol services, seasonal patrol services (Marine and Bureau of Reclamation), investigations, traffic enforcement, and courthouse security activities.

b. There are eleven full-time and eight seasonal or part-time employees in this division, seven patrol deputies, one criminal detective, one narcotics detective (assigned to the Central Oregon Drug Enforcement team), six seasonal patrol deputies (summer months only), and several part time deputies, which are supervised by two patrol sergeants.

3. Jail Division:

a. Under this division all prisoners are managed, housed, fed, transported to rented jail space and to court appearances.

b. There are eight full-time and three part-time employees in this division, six corrections deputies, one corrections sergeant, one technical deputy (transports), which are supervised by the jail commander.

4. Community Corrections Division:

a. Under this division are parole and probation services, community services, work crew, and related transitional and treatment services.

b. There are six full-time and one part-time employees in this division, three parole and probation deputies, one office deputy, one work crew supervisor technician, one work program coordinator and one part-time parole and probation deputy, which are supervised by the community corrections director.

5. Special Services Division:

a. Under this division are the Sheriff's Search and Rescue services and the County's Emergency Management program.

b. There is one full-time employee and 30 plus or minus volunteers in this division. The one full-time SAR/EM Coordinator employee supervises this division.
