8 Ways to say NO

  1. Say, "No thanks."
  2. Give a reason or excuse.
  3. Say "No" like a broken record.
  4. Walk away.
  5. Change the subject
  6. Avoid the situation.
  7. Cold shoulder.
  8. Strength in numbers.

 

Currently Crook County teaches  D.A.R.E in 2 public school, Powell Butte Elementary and Paulina Elementary schools.

The current D.A.R.E. curriculum  is available in all 50 states, over 40 countries and the U.S. Department of Defense schools worldwide.

Classes are conducted once a week for 17 weeks.  Some of the lessons  focus on:

bulletAlcohol and drug abuse awareness.
bulletDecision making skills.
bulletIdentifying and Resisting Peer Pressure.
bulletPositive alternatives to drug use.
